HIT THE STAGE bändi-imitaatiokilpailu
MAIDEN HELL plays Iron Maiden
DEAR VICTIMS plays Kiss
CRAZY MACHINE plays Metallica

Hit the Stage Festival on 08.04.2009 Helsingin KY-Klubilla järjestettävä sisäfestaritapahtuma, joka tarjoaa rokkiväelle Suomen ensimmäisen bändi-imitaatiokilpailun. Illan aikana lavalla nähdään myös kolme luunkovaa tribuutti-bändiä.

Tapahtuman keskiössä on nimellä Hit the Stage kulkeva bändi-imitaatiokilpailu, joka esittelee aivan uudentyyppisen, estottoman, interaktiivisen ja hauskan tavan tehdä oma show. Lavalle ei tarvita muuta kuin muutamia muovikitaroita, rumpukapuloita, tuoli rumpalille, mikkiständejä, sekä tietenkin itsestään kaikkensa antavia kilpailijoita. Hit the Stage-kilpailu ei vaadi kilpailijoilta minkäänlaisia musikaalisia taitoja, vain ripaus uskallusta ja pilkettä silmäkulmaan riittää. Tärkeintä on energinen esiintyminen, bändien imitoiminen tai parodioiminen puvustuksin tai ilman. Alkuperäisten artistien musiikki tulee asianmukaisen kovaäänisesti PA-laitteistosta ja osallistuvien bändien huolehdittavaksi jää voittobiisin valitseminen sekä elävän energian tarjoaminen.

Hit the Stage kilpailu on avoin aivan kaikille. Vain mielikuvitus on rajana ja kaikki on sallittua, olipa kyse sitten tyttöbändistä imitoimassa Slayeria, sekalaisesta joukosta kasattu ryhmä vetämässä Nightwishia tai riehakas polttariseurue esittämässä oman versionsa Van Halenin Jumpista. Osallistuminen kannattaa, sillä kilpailun kansainvälinen tuomaristo tulee palkitsemaan illan parhaat bändit muhkeilla palkinnoilla. Voittajabändin jäsenet poistuvat Hit the Stage Festivaleilta mukanaan upouudet Xbox 360 Pro Halo Wars Bundlet ja muitakaan kärkibändejä ei jätetä huomiotta.

Mikään festari ei olisi tietenkään festari ilman pääesiintyjiä, joita nähdään itse kilpailun ohella Hit the Stage Festivalilla kolminkertaisesti. Suomen tunnetuimmat tribuuttibändit MAIDEN HELL (plays IRON MAIDEN), DEAR VICTIMS (plays KISS) ja CRAZY MACHINE (plays METALLICA) näyttävät kuinka maailmanluokan biisit jyrähtävät mallikkaasti kotimaisin voimin.
