Uusi studioalbumi (2009-)

Rumpali Nicko McBrain kertoi Revolver Magazine -lehden haastattelussa, että yhtye on aloittanut uuden materiaalin valmistamisen. Työskentely studiossa alkanee marraskuussa 2009, ja albumin julkaisu ajoittunee kesään 2010. Kappaleet nauhoitetaan Bahamalla Compass Point -studiossa, jossa esimerkiksi yhtyeen klassikkoalbumit Piece of Mind (1983), Powerslave (1984), Somewhere in Time (1986) ja Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (1988) on nauhoitettu. Uuden studioalbumin promokiertue sijoittuu McBrainin mukaan ainakin kesään, syksyyn ja talveen 2010. Yhtye nähdään kiertueella todennäköisesti myös Suomessa.
