Aloitin eilen lukemaan Moonwalk kirjaa oikein kirjaversiona. Kirja tupsahti postiluukusta muutama päivä sitten. Joskus muutama vuosi sitten olen lukenut kirjaa netistä printattuna versiona. Mutta nyt sain lukea sitä oikeana kirjana, joka tekee lukuelämylsestä vieläkin paremman. Kirjassa on lisäksi kuvia, jotka antavat kirjaan lisäu lottuvuutta.
Aluksi oli outoa lukea kirjaa oli omituista lukea koska teksti on Michaelin omaa kerrontaa elämästään. Michael on nyt poissa ja siksi tuntuikin niin käsittämättömältä lukea hänen kirjoittamiaansa tekstiä, joissa hän puhui muistoistaan, kokemuksistaan, ajatuksitaan ja haaveistaan.
Moni ihminen joka kirjaan tarttuu varmasti löytää tämän kirjan kautta jotain Michaelista uutta Michaelin persoonasta. Sellasita mikä on aivan väärä kuva verrattuna siihen kuvaan, jonka lehdistö on hänestä antanut.
On upeaa, että Michael kirjoitti tämän 300 sivuisen kirjan elinaikanaan ja mahdollisuuden meille säilyttää osa hänen persoonastaan tämän kirjan muodossa.
Alkaessani kirjaa lukemaan olisin kelposti voinut lukea kirjan loppuun asti. Kun sen aloittaa lukemaan on vaikea lopettaa kesken. Yön pikkutunneilla olikin minun pakotettava itseni irti kirjasta. Täytyy myös hidastaa lukemistahtiani, sillä ensimmäiset 100 sivua on jo luettu, enkä haluaisi kirjan koskaan loppuvan. Täytyypä siis rajoittaa lukemiseni muutamaan sivuun per päivä, vaikka karu totuus onkin, että jonain päivänä olen lukenut koko kirjan :(
Kirja on jollain tavalla aivan ihanaa luettavaa. Itse ainakin lukiessani sain kokea tunneskaalan naurusta itkuun. Teksti on myös mielestäni erittäin simppeliä englantia, joten kielen kanssa ei ongelmia tule.
Mutta suosittelen todella lukemaan kirjan, mikäli joku ei vielä ole lukenut :)
