Day 11 - A song that describes youKeskiviikko 09.06.2010 20:54

How many special people change?
How many lives are living strange?
Where were you while we were getting high?

Slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannonball.
Where were you while we were getting high?

Someday you will find me caught beneath the landslide,
In a champagne supernova in the sky.
Someday you will find me caught beneath the landslide, in a champagne supernova,
A champagne supernova in the sky.

Wake up the dawn and ask her why,
A dreamer dreams, she never dies,
Wipe that tear away now from your eye.

Slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannonball.
Where were you while we were getting high?

Someday you will find me caught beneath the landslide,
In a champagne supernova in the sky.
Someday you will find me caught beneath the landslide, in a champagne supernova,
A champagne supernova.

'Cause people believe that they're gonna get away for the summer.
But you and I, we live and die, the world's still spinning around, we don't know why.
Why, why, why, why?

Well, what can I say? Loistava äänimaailma, yllättävän syvältä nappaavat lyriikat, upea kertsi ja todella tyylikäs musiikkivideo. Miksei tämä nyt ihan oikeasti toimisi?

US ends ‘war on drugs’

THE United States has "ended its war on drugs" and is now moving its focus to prevention and treatment, the US drugs chief has told top Irish drug officials.

President Barack Obama’s drugs adviser Gil Kerlikowske held a series of meetings yesterday with Drugs Minister Pat Carey, Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy and Department of Justice secretary general Sean Aylward.

The former police chief said the US had formally ended its much heralded – and hugely expensive – "war on drugs".

"We’ve talked about a ‘war on drugs’ for 40 years, since President Nixon. I ended the war," said Mr Kerlikowske, director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).

The Obama administration is increasing its budget for demand reduction by 6.5%, bringing it to $5.6 billion (€4.5bn). But the US is still spending $15.5bn on supply reduction.

Mr Kerlikowske said internationally, the US was focusing less on crop eradication in Afghanistan and Columbia.

He said the aim in Afghanistan was now on encouraging farmers to grow alternative crops.

Vauuuuuuuuuuuuu, mitä ihmettä? Toivottavasti. Muuten murahdan hyvin julmasti.
Videosta en mene sanomaan mitään, mutta tämän biisin flow on jotain uskomatonta.

You drink your health and remember to forget yourself
Sat on a roof in the everlasting moments of your youth
You looked surprised as it all went up in smoke before your eyes
Beneath the glow of a different kind of Sunday morning

Until tomorrow
Until tomorrow
Until tomorrow
Until tomorrow
...of a different kind of Sunday morning

No need for words; your heartbeats and the breeze was all I heard
Your hopes and fears; how trivial they seem from up here
I breathe you in as the sunlight breaks the haze to touch your skin
Beneath the glow of a different kind of Sunday morning

Until tomorrow
Until tomorrow
Until tomorrow
Until tomorrow
...of a different kind of Sunday morning

Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand

Jesus freaks out in the street
Handing tickets out for God
Turning back she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad

Piano man, he makes his stand
In the auditorium
Looking on she sings the songs
The words she knows the tune she hums

But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can hear me
When I say softly slowly

Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
you had a busy day today

Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand

Day 03 - A Song that makes you sadLauantai 29.05.2010 13:02

Don't you know that I'll be around to guide you
Through your weakest moments to leave them behind you
Returning nightmares only shadows
We'll cast some light and you'll be alright for now

Crosses all over, heavy on your shoulders
The sirens inside you waiting to step forward
Disturbing silence darkens your sight
We'll cast some light and you'll be alright for now

Crosses all over the boulevard

The streets outside your window overflooded
People staring they know you've been broken
Repeatedly reminded by the looks on their faces
Ignore them tonight and you'll be alright
We'll cast some light and you'll be alright.
