Conchettas:
I'd rather not pay for overpriced imports. I mean usually its like $50 for a DVD? Who wants to pay that much? A lot of you may want to think yourselves as all high and mighty and true fans because you bought an overpriced DVD "supporting" the band, but bands hardly make anything off of DVD or CD sales, and they are hardly losing money from extremely low quality YouTube videos. You can show your "support" for a band by going to their shows. And thats it.
Mach1avellism:
Well, my It Withers and withers -dvd was 20 euros. Is that too much for you? It isn't overpriced at all.
If artists ad bands don't get anything of DVD and CD sales, why piracy is so big problem nowadays?
Maliris24:
Why do you think bands are making a fuss about piracy if that doesn't harm them at all? I'm sure that Dir en grey forbids recording also, because they don't want new listeners to get a wrong idea of how they sound, because this quality totally fucks up the sound.
Maliris24:
I wouldn't want to repeat myself, but not buing CDs and DVDs harms at least the CD-company and so it affects also the band indirectly. Even by not going to their concerts it doesn't affect the band directly. The band gets paid beforehand and if tickets don't sell, its the concertplace that suffers from it [DIRECTLY]. The indirect part is that they probably wouldn't want to pay the band to come back there.
