1. Katse

Kohdatessa ennalta tuntemattoman henkilön erityisesti virallisissa tilanteissa, ihmiset katsovat toisiaan yleensä silmiin ja nenä yli. Ystävien kanssa katse saattaa vaeltaa kasvoilla vapautuneemmin. Asiantuntijoiden mukaan ystävien ja läheisten kohdatessa heidän katseensa kulkee kolmion mallista kulkua silmien, nenän ja suun välillä.

Jos katse etsiytyy enemmän suun alueelle ja pysyy siellä tavallista pidempään, se paljastaa toisen ehkä tuumailevan, miltä suutelu saattaisi tuntua. Myös intensiivisempi silmiin katselu saattaa paljastaa toisen orastavan kiinnostuksen. Jos toinen katselee pitkään keskustelukumppaninsa suuta tämän puhuessa, se on selvä merkki tietynlaisesta kiinnostuksesta.

2. Peilaaminen

Tämä voi tapahtua täysin tiedostamatta, mutta on merkki kiinnostuksesta toista kohtaan: kun toinen alkaa vähäisillä eleillä matkia toista. Yleensä se tarkoittaa lähinnä äänenpainon ja nopeuden matkimista ja ruumiinkielen mukauttamista toisen mukaan. Sen taustalla on tarve tuntea itsensä samanlaiseksi muiden kanssa ja tuntea olevansa samalla tasolla.

3. Kulmien liikkeet

Asiantuntijat väittävät, että kohdatessamme meitä kiinnostavan ihmisen, nostamme kulmiamme. Jos toinen on myös kiinnostunut, hän nostaa kulmiaan vastaukseksi. Kenties onneksemme tämä on asiantuntijoiden mukaan tiedostamatonta. Flirttioppaissa tätä kehotetaan testaamaan käytännössä, mutta kannattanee muistaa vähäeleisyys, ettei temppu mene yliampuvaksi.

4. Asennon suunta

Tämä on yksi tiedostamattomia kiinnostuksen osoituksia. Saatamme vaistomaisesti kääntyä sen henkilön suuntaan, josta olemme kiinnostuneita. Pienetkin eleet, kuten jalkojen ja käsien suunta kiinnostuksen kohdetta kohti saattaa paljastaa todelliset ajatukset.

5. Silmien räpyttely

Pupillien koko laajenee, kun näemme jotain mikä miellyttää meitä. Asiantuntijat esittävät väitteen, että toisistaan kiinnostunut pari alkaa kohdatessaan räpytellä silmiään tiedostamatta samaan tahtiin. Pari viehättyy toisistaan enemmän päästessään vinkkailussa samaan rytmiin, tutkijat kertovat.
