Seisoin hetkisen betonilattialla ja pohdin neutraalia keskustelunavausta. Lopulta päätin täräyttää suoraan: ”Onko sinulla nimikin?”
”Mä oon vittu, nimetön”, mies tuhahti.
”Vai että Vittu Nimetön”, sanoin tyynesti. ”Iker Casillas”, esittelin sitten itseni ja ojensin käteni. Mies katseli minua äkäisenä.
”Haista vittu”, hän mutisi, mutta nousi sängyltään. ”David Villa.”

Luin yöllä ja hajoilin.

”Vaikka minä olenkin homo, niin dentään udkallan paljaddaa hauraat tunteeni Ikerille, joka muuten on maailman ihanin mied. Mutta dinä et udkalla eded puhua Nandolledi, raukkid.”

Awwittelin.

”Kiitos. Sä olet ihana”, Frank ilmoitti käyden makuulle ja heti kun onnistuin rauhoittamaan itseäni tarpeeksi mäkin valuin selälleni.

Itkin.

”Mä… Mä näin painajaisen… Ja… Mä en voi olla yksin nyt…”, sopertelin tuskin kuiskausta kuuluvammalla äänellä ja Gerard tuli pöytänsä äärestä istumaan mun viereen sängylle, se tuli lähelle.
”Frank-pieni, mikä sun on?” Gerard kyseli huolestuneella äänellä, sen ruskeansinisenvihreät silmät katselivat mua pimeässä tarkkaavaisesti ja siinä oli vähän liikaa mulle. Mä näin pahinta painajaistani, meinasin kuolla pelkooni yksinäisessä huoneessani, Gerard tuli ihan lähelle, Gerard sanoi mua pieneksi, Gerard oli huolissaan.
Mä aloin itkeä.

Kuolin.

Ronaldon timmiin kuntoon treenattu peppu heilahteli puolelta toiselle, kun hän asteli kohti vankilanjohtaja Rooneyn toimistoa.

Ja kuolin taas.

Mä katselin Gerardin vaaleaa selkää jonka lihakset värähtelivät sen polkiessa pitkin tyhjää hiekkatietä, jolle me juuri asfalttitieltä oltiin käännytty, enkä voinut estää itseäni koskettamasta sitä. Mä piirsin pienen ympyrän yhden selkärangan nikaman ympärille, joka oli juuri housujen reunan yläpuolella ja Gerard meinasi ajaa ojaan. Mä kikatin sille hyväntahtoisesti ja Gerard hengitti vähän raskaammin kuin äsken.

Tai sitten en.

”Huomenta”, Gerard sanoi unen kähentämällä äänellä, joka oli takuulla seksikkäin ääni jonka mä olin koskaan kuullut. Grr.
”Huomenta”, mä vastasin, enkä irrottanut kasvojani sen kaulalta.
Gerard kuului naurahtavan mulle ja kiersi kätensä paremmin takaisin mun ympärille. Hyvä etten mä kehrännyt.
”Miau”, sanoin hiljaa ja Gerard naurahti uudestaan.
”Aww”, Gerard ynähti ja sen sormet piirsivät kuvioita mun selkään paidan läpi.
