"Math class is hard!"
So exclaimed the Teen Barbie, a talking version of the doll on the market in the United States in the early nineties - to the widespread outrage of consumers. In response, the guerrilla-activist group the Barbie Liberation Organization bought a number of the dolls, swapped the voice boxes with those from G.I. Joe dolls, and replaced them on the shelves. Joe, giggling, "Let's plan our dream wedding!" or Barbie, with her impossible body and blank stare, growling, "Vengeance is mine!"
