here is a random thought of today for you, boys and girls.

And by the time your father's heard of all the wrong you've done,
Then I'm putting out the lantern, find your own way back home

when you hear this song, do you think of 'putting out the lantern' as in turning it off/extinguishing it, which has a more negative tone to it, or as in putting it outside, so that it's easier to find the way back home, which is more positive? 'cause I used to think of it as turning off the lantern, but then today my brain heard it and went '..OH HAI WAIT WHAT, RYAN ROSS, WHAT WHAT?' and now i want to know what you think. y/n?

(...yeah idk either, don't blame me. my brain is awesome really. it's just slightly disturbed sometimes.)
