I was washed tonight with rain
and with the spiritful sweat
in creating music I was washed.
I might wash myself.

But some stains seem to keep
they're tattooed on my skin
by city lights
wrongful nights
and those warily spoken lies
told for to save myself when someone needed me.
They can be glossed over but not washed away
clandestinely lying under
waiting for the strange ultraviolet of life
to bring up their gloom.

There are birthmarks too on my skin.

I'm now in search for the special one
the heart shaped.

Life tattoos also different marks
for good deeds
for listening
for giving
for being there for someone.
The heart shaped birthmark
summons those marks,
they're gathered around it
therefore harder to see.

But those marks glow
I've seen people glow
For other people not over them.

I need to find that birthmark on me
Need to know

Maybe someday
for someone
I too could glow.
