Pikku lintu lensi etelään talveksi. Oli jo kylmä ja linnun siivet kangistuivat ja se putosi maahan pellolle. Kun se makasi siellä, paikalle tuli lehmä joka pudotti läjän sontaa sen päälle. Lanta oli pehmoista ja lämmintä ja virvoitti pikkulinnún. Lintu nautiskeli ihanasta lämmöstä onnellisena ja alkoi ilosta visertää. Ohikulkeva kissa kuuli viserryksen ja lähti tutkimaan mistä ääni tulee. Se löysi linnun, kaivoi sen esiin lannasta ja napsi suuhunsa! Kertomuksen opetus:A) Eivät kaikki ole vihollisiasi, jotka heittävät paskaa niskaasi. B) Eivät kaikki, jotka kaivavat sinut ylös paskasta ole ystäviäsi. C) Kun on lämmin ja hyvä olla, on parasta pitää turpa kiinni!
