Sunrise Avenue : Popgasm vs. The Sounds : Crossing the rubicon

Sunrise Avenue - The whole storyn jälkeen levylle oli aika kovat odotukset. No ei, eilen sitten rupesin ko. levyä kuuntelemaan ja biisit 6-0 ja birds and bees WTF? Birds and bees kuulostaa ihan siltä, kuin se olis joidenki lapsien englannin kielinen tavutus harjoitus, toki biisi pääsee välillä ihan mukavaan vauhtiin, mutta huh huh suurimmaks osaks biisi on täysin pohjanoteeraus. 6-0 on taas no, on varmaan pojat kokeilleet jotain uutta, mutta mun mielestä siinä kuitenkaan mitenkään onnistumatta. Biisi kuulostaa enemmän Helsingin operassa esitettävältä musikaalita/oopperalta, eli ihan täydellistä paskaa. Sail away with me on ehdottamasti koko levyn paras biisi, melodia on aika tarttuva ja sanatkin ovat jees. Eli toisin sanoen sitä "tuttua ja turvallista" Sunkkaria, pettymyksiä tuottamatta. Myös monk bay on mainitsemisen arvoinen biisi tältä levyltä. Kouluarvosanoilla koko levy ansaitsis jonku 8-. Eli ei todellakaan niin hyvä suoritus mitä odotti.

The Sounds - Tälläkään kertaa bändi ei tuottanut pettymystä, levylle ei mahdu yhtään sietämätöntä raitaa ja tää levy kuuluu ehdottomasti kesän kohokohtiin ja tulee varmasti soimaan ja kovaa koko kesän ! Levyn ehdottomasti parhaat raidat ovat beatbox, midnight sun, ja albumin nimikkoraita crossing the rubicon. Jokaisella biisillä on käsittämätön tarttuva melodia, tulee ihan semmonen fiilis, että pakko päästä kuulemaan livenä heti ja pomppimaan ihanaisen Maja Ivarssonin äänen tahtiin ! Tälle levylle voi ehdottomasti heittää 10 ja paljon papukaija merkkejä perään. Tätä levyä ei voi kukaan olla rakastamatta.
