Sorry, but it did happen. I know, it's shocking. But some people smoked. It was barbaric. Ronny Kay apparently smoked 140 cigarettes a day - and that should tell you everything you need to know.
Not us twenty-first century-ites, though. Oh no. We don't even know what cigarettes are. What are cigarettes?
Given the stresses of our era, it seems like we might have picked the wrong century to quit smoking. But as other dangers pile up, it is kind of good to know that we have tidied way one of our dangers: passive smoking. And the related danger of passively looking at cigarettes :)

But how do The Beatles have anything to do with the dirty buggers?
In '06, the Capital Albums Vol. 2 box set removed cigarettes from 3 smoking Beatles. Before, a cigarette was airbrushed from Paul McCartney's hand on the "Abbey Road" cover - and the song titles were altered to "You Never Give Me Your Money (To Buy Fags)", "Carry Those Fags" and "Her Majesty (Doesn't Like Fags Much, But Her Sister Likes Them A Lot)".
