Harjoitukset ennen showtaÂ…

Puhelinhaastattelu Argentiinaan!
Tom: Hei!
Bill: Hola! Aikaisin elämässämme olimme varmoja, että haluamme tehdä musiikkia aina. Tom ja minä aloitimme, kun olimme seitsemän ja jo silloin olimme varmoja, että haluamme tehdä sitä koko elämämme!

Haastattelija: Scream on kansainvälinen debyyttialbumi englanniksi. Mitkä ovat tulevaisuuden suunnitelmanne – jatkatteko englanniksi vai saksaksi?
Bill: Tahdomme ehdottomasti jatkaa molemmilla kielillä. Ensin keksin laulut saksaksi, koska se on äidinkieleni – levytämme laulut saksaksi ja jälkeenpäin käännämme englanniksi, aivan kuten teimme Scream - albumilla. USAn konserteissamme lauloin muutaman laulun saksaksi, koska fanit pyysivät sitä..se sai meidät iloisiksi ;-)

Bill: Olen selvänäkijä ;-) Seuraava kysymys koskee MySpacea!
Bill: Yritämme aina pitää kaikki nettisivumme ajantasalla..ei ole väliä mistä maasta fani on, me haluamme ottaa heidät kaikki mukaan matkallemme! Meille on tärkeää tietää, mitä fanimme haluavat ja yritämme tehdä asioita, joita he pyytävät, niin hyvin kuin pystymme. Loppujen lopuksi kaikki mitä teemme on tehty faneillemme ja todella haluamme, että he pitävät siitä mitä teemme!

-Tahdon tutkia uusia ulottuvuuksia ja sisällyttää lauluja, joissa on uusia vaikutteita – mutta ensin meidän täytyy päättää mikä on päälinjauksemme. Musiikin ja luonteidemme täytyy sopia yhteen. Haluan myös yllättää ihmiset uudella albumilla. Tahdon sisällyttää lauluja, joita ihmiset eivät tunnista heti Tokio Hoteliksi. Kuunnellessaan laulua heidän tulee havaita, että siinä on Tokio Hotelin soundi…joten pari ekaa riffiä saattaa johtaa harhaan! ;-)

Suunnitteletko muodonmuutosta?
-Muutama ihminen on tätä jo kysynyt, mutta olen sellainen vaari, kun puhutaan ulkonäöstäni – KYKENEMÄTÖN muuttumaan ;-) En voi muuttaa pukeutumistani ja olen myös jumissa hiustyyliini…se on ollut tällainen siitä asti kun olin 11v. Samat hiukset viimeiset seitsemän vuotta ja luulen, että koko elämäni aikana minulla on ollut vain kolmet erilaiset hiukset. En vain ole kuin Bill, joka leikkaa tukkaansa, kasvattaa sen jälleen pitkäksi tai pitää sitä pystyssä yhtenä päivänä ja alhaalla seuraavana. Olen johdonmukainen kaveri! Tai siis, kaikki hiustyylit sopivat minulle, mikä luultavasti tekeekin sen niin vaikeaksi valita vain yksi... Olen pilattu valinnanvaralla ;-)

Nautitko yhä kuunnella ja esittää kahden ensimmäisen albumin lauluja?
- Ehdottomasti! On niin rentouttavaa esittää laulut livenä, koska tunnen ne kuin taskuni. Mieluummin esitän vanhoja kuin uusia biisejä. Asenne liittyy varmasti samaan kuin kysymys ulkonäöstäni…rakastan vanhaa materiaalia ;-) Uusi albumi, uusi esitys ja uusi kiertue kiristää hermoja. Kun nyt esiinnyn, olen hermona ennen keikkaa, mutta lavalla olen rento. Kun on uusi albumi ja uusi esitys olen hermona 24/7 koko kiertueen ajan!

"For many itÂ’s all a hysteria with no reason, but for the fans of Tokio Hotel that spent hours without sleeping and many hours under the burning sun, everything is worthwhile! The german band is returning to our country and there is no need to have eyes wide open to see that they will be receive with open arms!

Reporter: Some of the people that are outside are here from maybe two week or a week, letÂ’s say. ItÂ’s there any band that you would do the same to see them and how do you look at this kind of crazy you know suff that surround you?

Tom: WeÂ’re very happy with that, of course. But I have to say that there isnÂ’t a band for which I would do that, but thereÂ’s a women Jessica Alba.
Georg: Had to be.
Tom: People speak so much about her. But weÂ’re very happy, specially after our last concert got cancelled and to have outside people that are already here waiting over a week itÂ’s very good.
Bill: We can say that as a band we have the best fans that we could wish for. The scenes from today repeat themselves and we are very happy.

Reporter: You came from Spain and you should know that today germany plays against Spain, do you tease them over there about the game of today?

Bill: To tell you the true we donÂ’t understand anything about football, we are very bad in football. And to be honest IÂ’m not a big football fan. Obviously we wish good luck to Germany, but thereÂ’s no problem if Spain wins. Both are beautiful countries, so itÂ’s not very important.
Georg: But IÂ’m sure Germany will win!

Reporter: This place give you the creeps for the last time you were here, do you think like oh IÂ’m going to a place where something bad happened to me?

Bill: The others have just talked about that. We were already on backstage and remembered the show that had to be cancelled. To me what happen, happened and itÂ’s gone and IÂ’m very happy to be fit again, to be able to go on stage again and I try not to think about it. I canÂ’t forget it completely, because it was the worst thing that happened to me and I felt sorry for the fans. And it makes me glad that they have returned again, that they have stayed faithfull, that they are all here and IÂ’m very happy for the concert that weÂ’ll perform tonight.
Reporter: Are you tired of playing these songs, you want to write new stuff or everyday is different and different that you kind of like to notice the songs developing?
Tom: Well, tired we still arenÂ’t, for sure. Georg gets out of tune in all songs till today, so itÂ’s ok. But we realized that itÂ’s time to edit a new album and weÂ’re on studio composing new songs, experimenting new things, we are working and things are developing. But it still itÂ’s too much for Georg.
Bill: Well, with the new album weÂ’re trying to free ourselves from everything, clear our ideas, empty our heads, go for walks, so that we can continue being creative. Definitively we are going to keep our sound. Without doubt we will continue to be Tokio Hotel, but we will try some new things. We have many ideas and we are in a creative process with things revolving in our heads and equating what direction to take. Anyway the new album will bring surprises, surprise songs and so.
Reporter: WhatÂ’s shuttling on your hi-podÂ’s nowadays?
Bill: uhm.. itÂ’s hard to say...The new ColdplayÂ’s album, no doubt. I think itÂ’s pretty good, and besides a little of everything. I at least donÂ’t fix on a band, I like to hear good songs and itÂ’s a big mixture. But, at the moment, itÂ’s defenitively the Coldplay album."

"It's official: these guys are the greatest German bubblegum-neo-glam-goth-emo boy band. Ever. On their English-language debut (they're already huge in Deutschland), the four fresh-faced lads from Magdeburg unveil a genre-and gender-bending act that justifies superlatives.

Much of the credit goes to lead singer Bill Kaulitz, an 18-year-old androgyne whose stupendous electroshock hairdo stands a good six inches taller than Tina Turner's Eighties coif. Kaulitz is a technically limited vocalist, but he has the charisma of a natural frontman, delivering both yowling rockers ("Scream") and sentimental ballads (the acoustic weeper "By Your Side") with an audible twinkle in his eye that suggests he's not entirely serious. Part 1

Q: Want to say 'hello' to the audience?
Bill: Hello to all who are watching!
Q: Welcome to Modena. He wanted to know if you've already seen the city, how you're spending your tour-days.
Bill: Sadly not. We just arrived two or three hours before and came directly to the venue, so we didn't see anything of the city. And I regret to say that directly after this concert, we go on to the next town... right now, we're a bit in festival-stress. But what we see from here is that it's extremely hot and great weather and our fans are rocking, so we're happy to be here.
Q: There's the rumor that 60,000 € were stolen from the concert in Rome?
Tom: When I look at my bank account, I'd say that's quite possible ;-)... But no, I've not heard of this, not really?!
Q: He says you don't have to be afraid, he won't start asking questions about your hair.
Bill: That's very kind.
Q: *Gives over the TRL award for best band*
Bill: We want to thank our fans, all those who voted for us. Thank you for this award, we're very proud and we look forward to our concert and our fans, so, thank you very much, we're extremely happy. Thanks.
Q: So, who gets to keep these awards? Or do you just throw them away?
Bill: I just said it: Looks like we again only get one, but we're four, and we can't divide it up... and I just said: Tom and I definitely will take this one home, so it'll stand in our cupboard, among all the other nice awards, so that it won't be lonely. So, they always get a place of honor.
Q: From the outside, you look very "compact", very friendly among each other. When you have time, do you go out to party together in the evening? Are you together outside of the band, also?
Bill: We definitely are always doing things together. I can hardly think of days in the year where we were apart, because we've known each other for 8 years now, I think we are, like, the closest friends. So, we really make every step together... it doesn't just look like it, that's really how it is...
Tom: However, I have to say: Private parties, there I rather go on my own, without the other guys, because, when I go out with Georg, it happens often that the girls only care about Georg...
Georg: ...for good reason...
Tom: ...so I always go out alone now, then I now and then also have the chance to score.

Q: It's so hot. Do you sweat?
Bill: You have to see us on stage! We're basically melting away...
Tom: Bill has extreme ass-water, one has to say... *Bill punches him*
Q: *Something about the hair*
Bill: I thought you didn't want to ask me about my hair ;-) ?
Q: True! Sorry.
Q: All kinds of people are screaming after you, everybody wants to touch you. What would you do if you were invisible for half an hour?
Bill: Good question. I definitely would trip a thousand people in the streets and stuff, and would...
Tom: Well, I ...
Georg: I'd go to Jessica Alba!
Tom: Yeah! I'd do things that you'd have to beep out, and since we're live on air, I won't say it.
Q: How are things with the new album?
Bill: Right now, we're in the studio like crazy. Tom and I are constantly writing songs, and we all are in the studio, always in between the festivals we definitely are there a lot, we shut ourselves in and write new material, and just play together, that also often leads to new things... yeah, we're really creative right now, but we cannot say yet when it will be out. We're working on it, and...
Tom: ...it will be amazing! It will so blow you away!
Q: When you sing one of your greatest hits on stage, do you ever look at one person, only one person in the eyes, at one girl and focus on here with your eyes?
Bill: Definitely! There certainly are moments, especially in the first rows, you have many girls that you sing to, that you watch closely during the whole concert...
Tom: There are certain tricks to get attention, ja?! And even today we talked about this *Georg laughs*, it hasn't happened for a long time now that a girl went topless, ja...
Georg: ...pity, actually...
Tom: It hasn't happened forever, and I really don't know what happened, but... maybe it will happen again, who knows.
Q: Have you learned a new Italian word, besides your favorite "vaffanculo"?
Bill: Um... no...
Q: Could you imagine a life without music? What would you have done if this hadn't happened?
Bill: Nothing... We'd have stood in small clubs, we'd still have made music, because we couldn't imagine a life without music. I always was convinced that some day we'd make it, that we'd play on big stages - though I wouldn't have dreamed that they would be so big. But I always hoped that I would at least be able to make a living with music, and I gave everything for that.
Tom: Maybe stripper, as a part-time job. But apart from that... definitely more focus on the music.

H: Tervetuloa Modenaan. Oletteko jo nähneet kaupunkia ja kuinka vietätte kiertuepäiviä?
Bill: Valitettavasti emme. Saavuimme vasta pari kolme tuntia sitten ja tulimme suoraan esityspaikalle, joten emme nähneet mitään kaupungista. Ja valitettavasti heti konsertin jälkeen jatkamme seuraavaan kaupunkiin… Juuri nyt meillä on vähän festivaali-stressiä. Mutta sen perusteella mitä nyt näen, niin täällä on ainakin todella kuuma ja hieno ilma ja fanimme rokkaavat, joten olemme onnellisia, että olemme täällä.
H: Huhu kertoo, että Rooman konsertissa varastettiin 60 000€?
Tom: Pankkitiliäni katsoessani sanoisin, että se on täysin mahdollista ;-)… Mutta ei, en ole kuulut tällaisesta, oikeastiko?!

H: Älä huoli, en aio kysellä hiuksistasi.
Bill: Oikein ystävällistä.

(haastattelija ojentaa TRL palkinnon; Paras bändi)
Bill: Kiitämme kaikkia fanejamme, jotka äänestivät. Kiitos tästä palkinnosta, olemme todella ylpeitä tästä ja odotamme konserttia ja fanejamme, joten kiitos todella paljon, olemme todella onnellisia. Kiitos.
H: No, kuka saa pitää tämän palkinnon? Vai heitättekö sen vain pois?
Bill: Näyttää siltä, että saimme jälleen vain yhden ja meitä on neljä emmekä pysty jakamaan sitä… Tom ja minä viemme tämän ehdottomasti kotiin, joten se löytää paikkansa vitriinistä muiden kivojen palkintojen luota, eikä se jää yksinäiseksi. Palkinnoilla on aina kunniapaikka.

H: Ulospäin näytätte todella tiiviiltä porukalta, kaverillisilta keskenänne. Kun teillä on vapaa-aikaa lähdettekö yhdessä ulos juhlimaan iltaisin? Vietättekö aikaa yhdessä myös bändin ulkopuolella?
Bill: Teemme ehdottomasti aina asioita yhdessä. Tuskin voin kuvitella päivää, jolloin olisimme erossa, koska olemme tunteneet toisemme nyt 8v ja olemme toistemme läheisimmät ystävät. Joten otamme jokaisen askeleen yhdessä… se ei vain näytä siltä, se todella on niin…
Tom: Kuitenkin, täytyy sanoa: Kotibileisiin menen mieluiten yksin, ilman muita, koska kun menen ulos Georgin kanssa käy usein niin, että tytöt välittävät vain Georgista…
Georg: …sille on hyvä syy…
Tom: … joten lähden nykyään aina ulos yksin, jolloin minulla on mahdollisuus saada.

H: On niin kuuma. Hikoiletteko?
Bill: Sinun pitäisi nähdä meidät lavalla! Suurin piirtein sulamme sinne…
Tom: Täytyy sanoa et Billillä on melkoinen pershiki… *Bill tökkää Tomia*

(haastattelija kysyy eikö Billin tukka valahda lavalla ja pyytää Billiä kokeilemaan omaa tukkaansa)
Bill: Luulin, ettei sinun pitänyt kysyä hiuksistani ;-) ?
H: Totta! Anteeksi.
H: Kaikenlaiset ihmiset huutavat peräänne, kaikki tahtovat koskea teitä. Mitä tekisitte, jos olisitte näkymättömiä puoli tuntia?
Bill: Hyvä kysymys. Minä ehdottomasti kamppaisin ihmisiä kadulla ja..
Tom: No, minä…
Georg: Menisin Jessica Alban luo!
Tom: Niinpä! Minä tekisin asioita, joita joutuisit sensuroimaan ja koska olemme suorassa lähetyksessä en sano niitä.

H: Mitenkäs uusi albuminne?
Bill: Juuri nyt olemme hulluna studiossa. Tom ja minä kirjoitamme jatkuvasti lauluja ja olemme kaikki studiossa. Aina festivaalien välillä olemme paljon studiossa, suljemme itsemme sinne ja kirjoitamme uutta materiaalia. Soitamme yhdessä ja sekin johtaa uusiin asioihin… niin, olemme todella luovia juuri nyt, mutta emme osaa sanoa, koska levy ilmestyy. Se on työn alla ja…
Tom: …siitä tulee mahtava! Se räjäyttää mielenne!

H: Kun esitätte jotain suurimmista hiteistänne lavalla katsotteko koskaan yhtä henkilöä, vain yhtä henkilöä silmiin, yhtä tyttöä ja keskitytte häneen silmillänne?
Bill: Todellakin! Noita hetkiä on varsinkin ensimmäisten rivien kanssa, joissa on monia tyttöjä joille laulaa ja joita katsoo tarkkaan koko konsertin ajan…
Tom: On tiettyjä temppuja, joilla saa huomion, eikö?! Puhuimme tästä juuri tänään *Georg nauraa* ja pitkään aikaan ei ole tapahtunut sitä, että tyttö ottaa paidan pois, eikö…
Georg: …sääli oikeastaan…
Tom: Sitä ei ole tapahtunut ikuisuuksiin, enkä ole varma miksi, mutta… ehkä niin tapahtuu uudestaan, kuka tietää.

H: Oletteko oppineet uusia italiankielisiä sanoja, lempisananne ”vaffanculo” lisäksi?
Bill: hmm.. emme..
H: Voisitteko kuvitella elämäänne ilman musiikkia? Mitä tekisitte, jos ette olisi menestyneet bändinä?
Bill: Emme mitään… Esiintyisimme pienillä klubeilla. Tekisimme silti musiikkia, koska emme vpoi kuvitella elämää ilman sitä. Olin aina vakuuttunut siitä, että jokin päivä löisimme läpi ja soittaisimme isoilla lavoilla – en tosin uneksinut että ne olisivat näin isoja! Mutta toivoin aina, että voisin elättää itseni musiikilla ja annoin siihen kaikkeni.
Tom: Ehkä strippaisin, osa-aikaisena.. Mutta sitä lukuunottamatta… ehdottomasti musiikkia.
