Harjoitukset ennen showtaÂ…

Puhelinhaastattelu Argentiinaan!
Tom: Hei!
Bill: Hola! Aikaisin elämässämme olimme varmoja, että haluamme tehdä musiikkia aina. Tom ja minä aloitimme, kun olimme seitsemän ja jo silloin olimme varmoja, että haluamme tehdä sitä koko elämämme!

Haastattelija: Scream on kansainvälinen debyyttialbumi englanniksi. Mitkä ovat tulevaisuuden suunnitelmanne – jatkatteko englanniksi vai saksaksi?
Bill: Tahdomme ehdottomasti jatkaa molemmilla kielillä. Ensin keksin laulut saksaksi, koska se on äidinkieleni – levytämme laulut saksaksi ja jälkeenpäin käännämme englanniksi, aivan kuten teimme Scream - albumilla. USAn konserteissamme lauloin muutaman laulun saksaksi, koska fanit pyysivät sitä..se sai meidät iloisiksi ;-)

Bill: Olen selvänäkijä ;-) Seuraava kysymys koskee MySpacea!
Bill: Yritämme aina pitää kaikki nettisivumme ajantasalla..ei ole väliä mistä maasta fani on, me haluamme ottaa heidät kaikki mukaan matkallemme! Meille on tärkeää tietää, mitä fanimme haluavat ja yritämme tehdä asioita, joita he pyytävät, niin hyvin kuin pystymme. Loppujen lopuksi kaikki mitä teemme on tehty faneillemme ja todella haluamme, että he pitävät siitä mitä teemme!

-Tahdon tutkia uusia ulottuvuuksia ja sisällyttää lauluja, joissa on uusia vaikutteita – mutta ensin meidän täytyy päättää mikä on päälinjauksemme. Musiikin ja luonteidemme täytyy sopia yhteen. Haluan myös yllättää ihmiset uudella albumilla. Tahdon sisällyttää lauluja, joita ihmiset eivät tunnista heti Tokio Hoteliksi. Kuunnellessaan laulua heidän tulee havaita, että siinä on Tokio Hotelin soundi…joten pari ekaa riffiä saattaa johtaa harhaan! ;-)

Suunnitteletko muodonmuutosta?
-Muutama ihminen on tätä jo kysynyt, mutta olen sellainen vaari, kun puhutaan ulkonäöstäni – KYKENEMÄTÖN muuttumaan ;-) En voi muuttaa pukeutumistani ja olen myös jumissa hiustyyliini…se on ollut tällainen siitä asti kun olin 11v. Samat hiukset viimeiset seitsemän vuotta ja luulen, että koko elämäni aikana minulla on ollut vain kolmet erilaiset hiukset. En vain ole kuin Bill, joka leikkaa tukkaansa, kasvattaa sen jälleen pitkäksi tai pitää sitä pystyssä yhtenä päivänä ja alhaalla seuraavana. Olen johdonmukainen kaveri! Tai siis, kaikki hiustyylit sopivat minulle, mikä luultavasti tekeekin sen niin vaikeaksi valita vain yksi... Olen pilattu valinnanvaralla ;-)

Nautitko yhä kuunnella ja esittää kahden ensimmäisen albumin lauluja?
- Ehdottomasti! On niin rentouttavaa esittää laulut livenä, koska tunnen ne kuin taskuni. Mieluummin esitän vanhoja kuin uusia biisejä. Asenne liittyy varmasti samaan kuin kysymys ulkonäöstäni…rakastan vanhaa materiaalia ;-) Uusi albumi, uusi esitys ja uusi kiertue kiristää hermoja. Kun nyt esiinnyn, olen hermona ennen keikkaa, mutta lavalla olen rento. Kun on uusi albumi ja uusi esitys olen hermona 24/7 koko kiertueen ajan!

"For many itÂ’s all a hysteria with no reason, but for the fans of Tokio Hotel that spent hours without sleeping and many hours under the burning sun, everything is worthwhile! The german band is returning to our country and there is no need to have eyes wide open to see that they will be receive with open arms!

Reporter: Some of the people that are outside are here from maybe two week or a week, letÂ’s say. ItÂ’s there any band that you would do the same to see them and how do you look at this kind of crazy you know suff that surround you?

Tom: WeÂ’re very happy with that, of course. But I have to say that there isnÂ’t a band for which I would do that, but thereÂ’s a women Jessica Alba.
Georg: Had to be.
Tom: People speak so much about her. But weÂ’re very happy, specially after our last concert got cancelled and to have outside people that are already here waiting over a week itÂ’s very good.
Bill: We can say that as a band we have the best fans that we could wish for. The scenes from today repeat themselves and we are very happy.

Reporter: You came from Spain and you should know that today germany plays against Spain, do you tease them over there about the game of today?

Bill: To tell you the true we donÂ’t understand anything about football, we are very bad in football. And to be honest IÂ’m not a big football fan. Obviously we wish good luck to Germany, but thereÂ’s no problem if Spain wins. Both are beautiful countries, so itÂ’s not very important.
Georg: But IÂ’m sure Germany will win!

Reporter: This place give you the creeps for the last time you were here, do you think like oh IÂ’m going to a place where something bad happened to me?

Bill: The others have just talked about that. We were already on backstage and remembered the show that had to be cancelled. To me what happen, happened and itÂ’s gone and IÂ’m very happy to be fit again, to be able to go on stage again and I try not to think about it. I canÂ’t forget it completely, because it was the worst thing that happened to me and I felt sorry for the fans. And it makes me glad that they have returned again, that they have stayed faithfull, that they are all here and IÂ’m very happy for the concert that weÂ’ll perform tonight.
Reporter: Are you tired of playing these songs, you want to write new stuff or everyday is different and different that you kind of like to notice the songs developing?
Tom: Well, tired we still arenÂ’t, for sure. Georg gets out of tune in all songs till today, so itÂ’s ok. But we realized that itÂ’s time to edit a new album and weÂ’re on studio composing new songs, experimenting new things, we are working and things are developing. But it still itÂ’s too much for Georg.
Bill: Well, with the new album weÂ’re trying to free ourselves from everything, clear our ideas, empty our heads, go for walks, so that we can continue being creative. Definitively we are going to keep our sound. Without doubt we will continue to be Tokio Hotel, but we will try some new things. We have many ideas and we are in a creative process with things revolving in our heads and equating what direction to take. Anyway the new album will bring surprises, surprise songs and so.
Reporter: WhatÂ’s shuttling on your hi-podÂ’s nowadays?
Bill: uhm.. itÂ’s hard to say...The new ColdplayÂ’s album, no doubt. I think itÂ’s pretty good, and besides a little of everything. I at least donÂ’t fix on a band, I like to hear good songs and itÂ’s a big mixture. But, at the moment, itÂ’s defenitively the Coldplay album."

"It's official: these guys are the greatest German bubblegum-neo-glam-goth-emo boy band. Ever. On their English-language debut (they're already huge in Deutschland), the four fresh-faced lads from Magdeburg unveil a genre-and gender-bending act that justifies superlatives.

Much of the credit goes to lead singer Bill Kaulitz, an 18-year-old androgyne whose stupendous electroshock hairdo stands a good six inches taller than Tina Turner's Eighties coif. Kaulitz is a technically limited vocalist, but he has the charisma of a natural frontman, delivering both yowling rockers ("Scream") and sentimental ballads (the acoustic weeper "By Your Side") with an audible twinkle in his eye that suggests he's not entirely serious. (His dodgy English diction — he pronounces the word "eyes" like "ice" — adds to the charm.)

The taut power-trio arrangements mix the whisper-to-a-scream dynamics of post-grunge with glam-rock chords and a big dollop of emo's teen psychodrama. ("Ready, Set, Go!" has already soundtracked an angsty scene on The Hills.) And then there's "Love Is Dead," which sounds like a lost Eighties hair-metal chestnut. With some strategically applied spandex, Kaulitz could become the rock god Bret Michaels always wanted to be."
